About: Diriyah
Diriyah is a historic city of profound cultural significance located on the outskirts of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. As the original home of the Saudi royal family and the capital of the First Saudi State, Diriyah’s UNESCO World Heritage site At-Turaif stands as one of the kingdom’s most important historical landmarks. Today, Diriyah is undergoing a remarkable transformation through the $50 billion development project, which aims to create the world’s largest cultural and heritage destination. The development seamlessly blends traditional Najdi architectural style with modern amenities, featuring luxury hotels, museums, cultural institutions, retail, dining, and entertainment districts. This ambitious project represents Saudi Arabia’s vision to showcase its rich heritage while creating a world-class tourism destination that honors the birthplace of the Saudi state. When completed, Diriyah will serve as a living museum and cultural hub, welcoming an estimated 27 million visitors annually to experience Saudi Arabia’s history, culture, and hospitality.
